I have now worked on a few very important packaging research projects with the Behaviorally team and it has been a very positive learning journey. Not only are they packaging experts, but they also come with strong industry/LEGO understanding.

I’ve experienced a Behaviorally team leading the whole end to end research process but still being very open/inclusive/collaborative to build the strongest outcome together. There was clear definition of roles and responsibilities from day one which I appreciated a lot. I’ve experienced a diverse team coming together, utilizing each other’s experience and skills to build simple but powerful and actionable storylines back to the LEGO business. A team that are objective and dare to speak up and challenge our business.

What really stood out to me is the people – they make the difference. Not only are they nice and caring people, but they also focused on building a trusted and safe environment allowing everybody to speak up and sometimes having tougher conversations. Taking in constructive or tough feedback is not always easy. The Behaviorally team demonstrated strong resilience despite a couple of extra iterations of the final storyline. That really impressed me.

One way to measure success is to observe how stakeholders react and the number/type of questions they have after the debrief/topline presentation. In my case they were very quiet which was a good thing. Everything had resonated with them, and the recommendations were super sharp and actionable. Most of them were activated. I am already looking forward to working with Behaviorally on future packaging studies.
